   Chart flower - a schematic projection of a flower on a plane perpendicular to its axis and passing through the bracts leaf and inflorescence axis or shoot, on which sits a flower. It reflects the number, relative size and relative position of parts of the flower.

   Construction of the diagram is based on transverse sections of the bud, since the blossoming of a flower, some parts may fall off (eg, sepals with poppy or perianth from grapes). The diagram is oriented so that the axis of the inflorescence are on top and bracts leaf - at the bottom.

   Legend in the diagram flower:

   Rachis - point (if the flower apex, the axis of the inflorescence not depicted);

   Bracts leaf, bracts and sepals - the keel brackets (braces) of various sizes;

   Petals - parentheses;

   Stamens - reniform shape, showing a cross section through the anther (with a large number of stamens may be simplified representation in the form of an ellipse obscured);

   Pestle - circles or ovals, reflecting a cross section of the ovary, ovules inside the ovary showed small circles on the relevant parts of the carpels.

   In the case of accretion of each part of the flower of their icons on the chart connecting lines.

   There may be additional elements shown in the flower, such as nectaries or disks.

   The chart can be represented by a flower, or only those parts that are visible on the cut (empirical diagram flower), or also (dashed line), immature and disappeared in the evolution of the (theoretical diagram of a flower, made on the basis of empirical study of several diagrams).

   Figure escape plan reflects a cross section through the vegetative bud.
